name: albert
car: 1995 SAAB 9000CDE V6

my name is albert and i am originally from Europe.
my first saab came to me in 2002, it was a 1993 Saab 9000 4 cyl.
I bought it an an auction in Woodinville, WA for $350. It had a broken head gasket.
I brought it back to Canada and had the gasket replaced, the cost was approximatly $1000
i also had to do the inspections as it was a USA car
Once i had it on the road my girlfriend and i promptly went for a road trip to washington and oregon states
the car drove nicely!!
I sold the saab a year later as i had 3 cars already.
however i did miss it.
So in 2004 i bought the one that i currently own: 95 9000cde V6, it was involved in a collision on the front left
i thought the car would be an easy fix, but as i found out Saab parts are pricey!!
so with a help of a friend i found a parts car, using the parts car i fixed my car and made it road worthy
and of course my girlfriend and i promptly went on a road trip this time to California
in 2007 i gave the car to my sister who drove it untill fall of this year (2009)
she bought herself a brand new car so she gave it back to me.
the car failed aircare on the NOx, i had a new catalytic converter installed took it through aircare and it passed
now i am driving the car again, it currently has 134,xxx miles on it
it does not drive as nice as i remember, well at least in comparission with my honda (confession: i do love hondas)
but nevertheless i love the car
i may have to sell it as once again i have 3 cars.

I have a 2004 Saab 9-3.... I fell in love with this car as soon as I got here in Canada some 3 years ago. Ever since I was a kid, I had been exposed to all Japanese cars.. be it a nissan, mitsubishi... subaru and honda, I wanna be different... so I researched on Saab and did bought my first 9-3 although used... it has been my best car so far. The turbo is excellent and did wonders especially to an aggressive driver like me...

I appreciate clubs and forums like these that is more geographical specific (west canada) because i think it allows members to be more active and meet up frequently. I live in Edmonton, Alberta... I hope to meet Saab enthusiasts from my city as well as from any western canada provinces.
